As we settle into 2026, the team at Studio IDC has been in a reflective mood. In the luxury interior design world, there is often a relentless pressure to look only at what is next, the newest trend, the latest fabric, the upcoming season.
This January, rather than simply setting resolutions, we are reaffirming the core design philosophy that has guided Studio IDC from its earliest days as a family owned interior design firm to our current residential and hospitality projects across South Florida and the Caribbean.
At Studio IDC, our identity is rooted in the belief that interior design is deeply personal. As a family operated studio, we approach every project with a sense of stewardship that extends far beyond the blueprint. This family business mindset, prioritizing loyalty, trust, and long term client relationships, remains the foundation of our work.
That same philosophy guided our early projects with iconic destinations such as Jumby Bay Resort, where we learned that true luxury design is not about excess, but about creating spaces that feel authentic to their environment, culture, and climate.
At the same time, legacy alone is never enough. True leadership in design requires curiosity. Over the past year, our team has continued to explore new ideas and materials, from visiting the Tidelli showroom in Miami to sharing insights at the Bisnow Summits. We are committed to remaining students of our craft, continuously evolving our aesthetic through sustainable materials, thoughtful innovation, and global inspiration.
Our experience has taught us that beautiful interiors must also be practical. At Studio IDC, we believe luxury interior design should be intelligent, efficient, and mindful of budget. Whether we are designing a boutique hotel or a waterfront residence our creative process respects financial parameters just as much as the design vision.
This approach naturally aligns with our long standing focus on wellness centered design and biophilia. As discussed by Stephanie Tyler in recent design panels, the future of interior design is not just visual, it is emotional. It is about how a space feels to live in every day.
By thoughtfully integrating natural light, airflow, organic materials, and indoor outdoor transitions, we design environments that support wellbeing while remaining practical to maintain and inhabit. Our spaces are designed to breathe, grounded in the realities of how they will be used long after the final reveal.
A New Chapter Sharing Our Design Process on Instagram
While our principles remain rooted in craftsmanship and integrity, the way we share our work is expanding. At Studio IDC, we believe the true magic of interior design lives in the process, not just the finished space.
In 2026, we are excited to begin a more intentional journey on Instagram, offering a behind the scenes look into our studio and projects. From material sourcing and site visits to quiet moments of inspiration and collaboration, we are opening the door to the real story behind our designs.
This new chapter allows clients, collaborators, and design enthusiasts to experience Studio IDC beyond the portfolio, and to engage with the ideas, people, and details that shape our work.
As we look ahead, we remain mindful that interior design has the power to reach beyond walls and furnishings. Our continued partnership with the Oliver Patch Project and our involvement within the design community reflect our belief that creativity is a tool for connection, advocacy, and positive impact.
Studio IDC enters 2026 with a clear vision, blending the warmth of our family roots with a commitment to discovery, responsibility, and thoughtful growth. We are ready to create spaces that are authentic, sustainable, and deeply inspiring.
