Blue Belle is a four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 5,290-square-foot beachfront retreat located in the exclusive Davis Bay Beach area of Jumby Bay Island. The luxury rental property, surrounded by native royal palms and lush vegetation, offers direct access to the beach and stunning views across the Caribbean Sea toward Antigua.

For the renovation of this private estate, our design team drew inspiration from the villa’s natural surroundings, aiming to create a light and airy environment that would serve as a sublime seaside escape. The previous design featured saturated colors and an eclectic style; however, the new owners desired a more soothing atmosphere with a soft, cool palette that enhanced the views of the Caribbean. As a result, the updated design combines a relaxed, beachy mix of materials, textures, and colors.

The renovation also focused on modernizing the interiors by integrating contemporary elements with organic textures. We carefully selected decorative fixtures to add sophistication and create multiple lighting scenes, each setting a different mood. Additionally, unique touches like original artwork and bespoke furnishings bring a more personalized character to the villa.

Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living

The open-air great room draws inspiration from the Caribbean with a muted palette of soft blues, seafoam, and shell tones. Updated furnishings include a contemporary woven sofa, swivel lounge chairs, poufs, and organic coffee tables. Multiple seating areas provide spaces for dining, socializing, or relaxing, including a live-edge teak dining table and custom banquette seating.

A Bright and Function Kitchen

The kitchen redesign emphasizes light and airiness, pairing white architectural elements with the client’s preferred blue hues. We refinished the cabinets in blue and white, complemented by neutral quartz countertops and stainless-steel sinks. A soft blue mosaic backsplash ties the palette together, while a multi-tiered, matte-white chandelier with a plaster stucco texture was included to enhance the volume. Reupholstered bar stools complete the space, making it perfect for cooking and entertaining.

Primary Suites: Relaxed Elegance

First Primary Suite

The first primary suite connects to a private study, offering 180-degree views of the beach and direct access to the pool and great room. The bedroom features a seagrass-wrapped king canopy bed, an upholstered lounge chair, and custom closets. Soft, neutral textures and luxurious custom drapery enhance the ambiance. We reconfigured the adjoining bathroom to include a walk-in shower with a custom glass enclosure and oceanic mosaic tiles and a double vanity area with quartz stone tops. 

Second Primary Suite

The second primary suite features a repurposed mahogany four-poster bed paired with custom accent pillows in soft blues and neutrals. Natural textures and coastal tones flow throughout, complementing a custom area rug and lounge chair.

The bathroom includes a freestanding tub, custom glass enclosures, and a double vanity. Light oak cabinetry and oceanic mosaic tiles complete the serene design.

Guest Rooms: Versatile and Inviting

Third Bedroom

The upstairs bedroom features a playful color palette with coastal blues and seafoam greens. It includes versatile twin beds with a custom panel headboard that can be converted into a king-sized bed, along with sea fan-patterned pillows. A rattan pendant light and woven textures add warmth, while a vibrant blue throw provides a pop of color. The bathroom continues the fresh aesthetic, showcasing soft gray wall tiles, a glass-enclosed shower, and a double vanity topped with sleek quartz.

Fourth Bedroom

This nautical-inspired bedroom features a palette of soft whites, coastal blues, and wood tones. Natural light enhances the airy feel, while woven rattan furnishings and layered custom pillows add texture. The bathroom showcases hand-pottered sapphire blue tiles, a custom glass-enclosed shower, and a sleek double vanity.
